Our next seminar will look at the tourism statistics available from the International Passenger Survey (IPS). It will cover:
- The historical collection of IPS data, the key uses and main users.
- The Travel and Tourism Reform Project: what it is, why it came about and what the project means for data users.
- The main improvements to the IPS since July 2024 because of the project; improvements in both data collection and data processing.
- The main operational changes since July 2024 for the field community.
- What the first publication of new data (due to be published in early 2025) tells us about International Travel and Tourism.
